Technique Page- Minimum Depth of Field (/maximum)

There are two types of depth of field in which we look into, maximum and minimum.

Minimum depth of field is where the closest object to the camera is in focus and the background is out of focus.

1. Chose a place in which you wish to take the photograph.
2. Ensure the subject is close to the camera and is in focus. Providing a space between the subject and the background to create the blurred background.
3. Ensure there is a large aperture setting. (e.g. f/2.8)
4. Take the photograph

Maximum depth of field is where the photograph has a whole is in focus and a sharp image is produced.

1. Chose a place in which you wish to take the photograph.
2. Ensure the subject is far away from the camera.
3. Ensure there is a small aperture setting. (e.g. f/8)
4.Take the photograph.
