For this focal length exercise the model stayed in one position and I moved to ensure the man was positioned and filled the frame within all three images. This series of images was interesting to create as I did not realise how much of a different the focal length can create. This focal length exercise has helped me to understand how I can adjust the models background to involve more depth within an image. When a wide angle lens is used it can distort the image. A telephoto settings allows the photographer to get a close up picture without having to intrude. This sometimes affects the depth of field within the image, making the image shallower. Zoom lenses are often used by press and sports photographers as they are able to take detailed close up images of celebrities whilst being at a distance. Giving the photographer flexibly. I like the way in which adjusting the focal length can alter the image, I think my adding this depth sometimes within the piece it can help to create a more interesting image.
