Close ups allow extra detail which the human eye may by pass to be enhanced. Close ups allow a specific area of detail or an person to be shown and allowing a photography to be selective about what they show of the scene they are photographing. I find this technique to be interesting as we are seeing a zoomed in and often blurred edges of which we can not experiencing the same way in real life. Demonstrating a photographic reality, a reality of which can sometimes only be experiences through images.
I like the way in which these fruits have shown in a close up image. I believe this gives them a more appealing aspect. In the image to the left small mannequins have been added to create a scene on top of the watermelon create a surrealism affect and a more interesting piece.
