Work Diary- Image within an Image

Plans and expectations

For this shoot I plan to shoot three different types of images expression image within an image. I have used one type of this technique in my last project an look forward to experimenting more with the techniques. This is due to the interesting pieces which it can produce. I will shoot these images in a park near the college with a few different models.

Evaluations

Above is the video which was placed inside the image. I like how the person holding the frame is off center and holds a clear expression allowing a main focus to be on the video. The video was easily placed within the gap of the photo frame.

I like how the frame has been used to create a clear image of the surrounding behind the model. I think this is an interesting way to incorporate the surrounding and enhance nature or a structural building. I also feel there is a surrealist aspect of this image which helps to produce this intriguing photograph. For this particular image my camera was set to a shutter speed of 1/125 seconds with a focal length of 40, f/6.3 and ISO 100.

I find this image interesting as to how it appears to continuously repeat. I like the simple use of the frame and how it can be transformed into a more complex idea and image. An idea that there is more than meets the eye is displayed within this image and portrays a interesting message through the way in which it is structured. A earlier technique, depth of field, is also used within this image slightly. However when looking at my camera setting which was used, ISO 100 with a shutter speed of 1/125 seconds, focal length of 38mm ans f/7.1, it is most likely this depth of field was created due to the position of the model and focal length. 

I created the following image duplicating the layer and reducing the size so it fit in the frame I done this a few times each time placing it in the smaller frame. This was very easy to do and i think has produced a very intriguing image. 

Progression

I like the way in which this technique works and how it looks. I would like to use this technique later on, however I would like to appropriate using perspective photography or phones showing an image within the screen however having the setting which is displayed within the screen still placed within the image, an example of perspective photography is shown below. I am very happy with how these images turned and enjoyed editing this particular collection of photographs.
