Plans and expectations
Overall for this finial shoot for unit 3 I plan to create a few images experimenting with individual items shadows. I wish to use both location and studio setting to create this images.
Evaluations
I am very disappointed with this image i feel that the surrealist effect I was going for was not displayed clearly enough. Overall my shoot within the studio was difficult and i had trouble editing the images to how I desired. I was not happy with any of the images I was creating from the studio shoot, however have include one to show my trial and error and allow myself to develop from it. I created this image my adding two images into on document I rubbed out the area which showed the shadow do the item being displayed and due to having the second image below it displayed the shadow of a separate image. To create this strong shadow I only used one light within the studio in a certain positioned.
I like how it has a very basic surrounding filled with an average street. Creating a contrast between an unusual idea of the shadow with the pain surroundings. One way in which I like to view the message for this image is a change of direction. The long shadow could represent a limit within someones current life and the need to expand more. By leaving the shoes empty it may suggest a person leaving them to look for another direction in life. Progression
This is the last shoot for unit 3 and therefore I will not be developing on this initial idea. However I think this has made me think about my images more whilst shooting them to ensure they are successful images.
